PREFACE:

PONTEVECCHIO and PONTEVECCHIO W are Nobile 1942 first fra-grances. At the beginning we had this difference between men and women’s perfumes: Pontevecchio was a Colonia Maxima (eau de toilette) and Ponte-vecchio Women was a Fragranza Suprema (eau de parfum). Now they both exist in our fragrance’s collection, with an eau de parfum concentration, because the different interpretation of the main ingredient, iris from Florence, make both fragrances unique. Let’s start with the story and the name. Pontevecchio ( in English: “old brid-ge”), it’s the most important bridge in Florence with its historical jewelry and leather workshop. A symbol of italian culture and the greatest, “magnificent” heritage of De Medici’s family.
