Amethyst Exquise By Lalique

Lalique Amethyst Exquise is the darker, more mysterious "night elixir" sibling to the original 2007 Amethyst. Launched in 2017 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the line, it trades the original’s tart, fresh-picked garden vibe for something richer, deeper, and more nocturnal.

While the original Amethyst is often compared to a bright, sunny day in a berry patch, Amethyst Exquise feels like that same garden after dark. It is a "purple" scent through and through—velvety, slightly powdery, and intensely floral. It leans into a more "grown-up" sweetness, utilizing dark fruits and balsamic resins to create a sense of mystery.

The Fragrance Notes

• The "Heliotrope" Factor: Unlike the original, this version features heliotrope in the opening, which adds a soft, almond-like powdery haze that makes the berry notes feel creamy rather than sharp.

• Sensual Dry-down: The addition of benzoin and sandalwood gives it a woody, resinous base that lingers on the skin much longer than the original EDT or EDP.

• The Bottle Art: The deep purple glass features the "Épines" (thorns) motif, inspired by a 1913 design by René Lalique. It’s widely considered one of the most beautiful bottles in modern perfumery.
