Nobile 1942
Nobile 1942 is a family-owned fragrance house based in Genoa, Italy. Though the modern brand was founded in 2004 by Massimo Nobile and Stefania Giannino, its name pays tribute to the year Massimo’s grandfather, Umberto Nobile, opened his first perfumery in Rome.
Key Characteristics
-
Artisanal Craftsmanship: They are one of the few brands that still handle production and packaging entirely in-house. Every bottle is hand-filled and labeled, and they use a natural maceration process that allows the ingredients to "breathe" before bottling.
-
High-Quality Ingredients: The brand is known for using premium Italian raw materials, such as Calabrian bergamot and Florentine iris.
-
Emotional Storytelling: Each fragrance is designed to evoke a specific memory or feeling (they call them "liquid emotions"). Their scents are often inspired by Italian culture, history, and literature.
Top Fragrances to Know

-
Levante: A unique "salty-sweet" fragrance. It combines sea notes and white flowers with a base of caramel and vanilla, evoking the breeze of the Italian coast.
-
Rudis: Inspired by the wooden sword given to gladiators, this is a bold, masculine-leaning scent featuring leather, red wine, and dried fruits.
-
